Formulated for dry to normal skin. Gluten-Free Savonnerie Castille Bar Soap follows in the great tradition of olive oil-based soaps, named for the Castilla Region in Spain which is famous for olive oil soaps.
Containing extra-virgin olive oil, it is the mildest soap available. Formulated for dry to normal skin, it is perfect for those with dry or sensitive skin. This soap has a minimum number of ingredients so that it works well for people with multiple allergies.
Gluten-Free Savonnerie soaps are created using the traditional cold-process method. In this method, oils are mixed with an alkali and then hand poured into block molds to form bars. When the oils and alkali combine, a natural process called saponification occurs, producing soap. Glycerin is also produced during the process of soap formation. It is possible to separate the glycerin from the soap, and because it has value, the glycerin is often removed and sold separately. We don’t remove the glycerin from our soap, it is retained in the finished bars, and you will reap the benefits of all that skin pampering glycerin while using any of the Gluten-Free Savonnerie soaps. Once the soap is hardened, it is cut and trimmed by hand. The bars are cured for an entire month to produce gentle, 4.5 oz soap bars for the entire family.
